Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the three-day Mainpat Festival held in Mainpat, Surguja district, today. At the ceremony, he extended his greetings and best wishes to everyone for the Mainpat Festival.
During this, Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced Rs 1 crore for the development of tourism in Mainpat and for the construction of a fully equipped bus stand in Sitapur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai gave the gift of 109 development works worth Rs 523 crore 20 lakh 53 thousand in Surguja district. While addressing the function, he said that this festival is an important medium to showcase the culture and identity of Surguja. The country and the world will get acquainted with the culture here through this festival. Artists coming from outside and local artists will also get a platform and an opportunity to showcase their talent.

He said that the basic mantra of our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.” To fulfill his pledge of a developed India, we have resolved to build a developed Chhattisgarh. Under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters receive Rs. 1,000 every month in their accounts; more than 15,000 crore rupees have already been deposited in their accounts. You have seen that in two years, due to the blessings of the illustrious Prime Minister and Home Minister and their strong willpower, this region is becoming free from Naxalism. I salute the courage of the soldiers of our state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai was warmly welcomed by Tibetan brothers with the “Tashi Shopa” dance based on Tibetan culture. Chief Minister Shri Sai visited stalls set up by various departments and distributed beneficiary-oriented materials to eligible beneficiaries under various government welfare schemes. Cultural performances by local artists were also presented on the occasion.
Addressing the program, Tourism Minister Mr. Rajesh Agrawal stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai, the state’s tourism sector is experiencing steady growth. The state government is working diligently toward the overall development of tourist destinations, strengthening infrastructure, and creating new opportunities. He added that the increasing tourist flow to naturally beautiful places like Mainpat is providing new opportunities for self-employment for local youth and women.

MLA Shri Ram Kumar Toppo, while addressing the program, said that today is not just the beginning of a festival, but a celebration of our rich culture, traditions and love for nature. Mainpat Mahotsav is a celebration of public pride, where nature itself has decorated this land with amazing beauty. MLA Shri Prabodh Minj, while addressing the program, said that on the occasion of the inauguration of Mainpat Mahotsav, today we have received the gift of development works worth more than Rs 500 crore for the development of the area. These works will expand the infrastructure facilities in Mainpat and give a new impetus to tourism activities.

During the Mainpat Mahotsav, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, giving a new impetus to development in the district, inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for 109 development works worth a total of Rs 523 crore 20 lakh 53 thousand. Of these, Bhoomi Pujan was performed for 81 works costing Rs 429 crore 11 lakh 40 thousand and 28 works costing Rs 94 crore 09 lakh 13 thousand were inaugurated.
