- Agritech Krishi Mela will open new avenues for self-reliance and technological prosperity: Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb
The three-day Jaajvalyadev Folk Festival and Agritech Krishi Mela 2026, organised from February 11 to 13 at Government High School Ground, Janjgir and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jarve in Janjgir-Champa district, concluded under the chief patronage of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Guru Khuswant Saheb.
At the closing ceremony, guests released the Jajvalya 2026 souvenir. School students and local artists who presented cultural programs were also honored. The program also featured impressive performances of Panthi dance and Mallakhamb.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb said that the Agritech Krishi Mela 2026 has proven to be an important platform for innovation for farmers and youth. He said that Janjgir-Champa is a rich agricultural land, where a beautiful coordination of tradition and modern technology is seen. He
said that the use of drone technology, modern agricultural equipment and new technologies will increase farmers’ income and inspire youth to become agri-entrepreneurs. He expressed confidence that the district’s farmers will move towards self-reliance by adopting technological innovations.

Emphasis on Social Justice and Skill Development
Minister Shri Saheb stated that the government is committed to ensuring that no segment of society is left behind in the mainstream. Social justice is being ensured through skill development and economic opportunities, so that the benefits of schemes reach the last person. Highlighting the importance of modern technology, especially artificial intelligence, he urged youth to become proficient in AI and new technologies.
Continuous efforts for farmers under the leadership of the Chief Minister.
Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Minister Shri Saheb said that the state government is committed to the prosperity of farmers. Numerous schemes, from the support price for paddy to new agricultural policies, are being implemented for the benefit of farmers. Continuous efforts are also being made to preserve and promote Chhattisgarhi folk art and culture.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of public representatives and officials.
Janjgir-Champa MLA Shri Beas Kashyap, former Leader of Opposition Shri Narayan Chandel, Chairman Mineral Development Corporation Shri Saurabh Singh, District Panchayat President Engineer Satyalata Anand Miri, Municipal Council President Smt. Rekha Devagarhwal, former MP Smt. Kamla Devi Patel, former MP Shri Guharam Ajgalle and many other public representatives were present.

Apart from this, Collector Shri Janmejay Mahobe, Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Kumar Pandey, District Panchayat CEO Shri Gokul Raote, Additional Collector Shri Gyanendra Singh Thakur along with a large number of officers, farmers and common people participated in the program.
At the end of the program, Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb congratulated the organizers and participants for the successful organization of the Jaajvalyadev Folk Festival and Agritech Krishi Mela 2026 and reiterated his commitment to building a
developed Chhattisgarh. This event has emerged as a symbol of the integrated development of agriculture, technology, and folk culture in the state.
