National Postal Employees Union’s biennial convention concludes

  • Women employees honored on the occasion of International Women’s Day

The biennial convention of the National Postal Employees Union concluded at a private hotel. The convention resolved to strengthen the organization, protect employees’ rights, and disseminate the postal department’s schemes to the public. A large number of postal employees and officials attended the event.
      During the convention, organization officials informed that the union’s previous biennial convention was held in Bilaspur on December 17, 2023, while the national convention was held in Ujjain from June 9-10, 2024. These conventions extensively discussed various employee-related issues, the organization’s activities, and future plans. Employees present at the event expressed that despite limited resources and numerous challenges, postal employees are performing their duties with utmost dedication and responsibility. Despite technical problems, heavy workloads, staff shortages, and changing work patterns, postal employees are continuously striving to achieve the goals set by the administration. Speakers noted that the postal department continues to play a vital role in providing services to remote areas of the country.
     On this occasion, in celebration of International Women’s Day, a program was dedicated specifically to women. Women employees celebrated Women’s Day by cutting a cake and honoring women employees for their outstanding contributions. During the event, the role of women employees, their dedication to their work, and their active participation in the organization were praised.
   B.S. Rao, Sushma Verma, and N.D. Lal, along with other officials and employees, expressed their views. The speakers emphasized that the organization’s mission is not only to run the organization but also to protect the rights, dignity, and interests of every employee. They stated that the organization not only brings employees’ concerns to the administration’s attention but also strives to resolve them. Furthermore, the organization’s primary goal is to make the various schemes and services of the Postal Department accessible to as many people as possible.
