- “A healthy Chhattisgarh is the strong foundation for a developed Chhattisgarh,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Expanding healthcare services and ensuring that every citizen has access to quality medical treatment is a top priority for the state government. Healthy citizens form the bedrock of an empowered society and a developed Chhattisgarh. Our government is committed to ensuring that people in villages, tribal regions, and remote areas—just as in cities—have access to timely, high-quality healthcare. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated this while handing over appointment letters to 520 newly recruited staff members across various Health Department cadres, during an event held today at his official residence in the Civil Lines area of the capital, Raipur.
Congratulating the new recruits and wishing them a bright future, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai urged them to carry out their responsibilities with a spirit of service, sensitivity, and complete dedication.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that the opportunity to serve in the Health Department is, in itself, a significant responsibility. Every individual who arrives at a hospital—along with their family—looks toward healthcare workers with great hope and trust. Consequently, the responsibility of every employee in the healthcare sector extends beyond merely fulfilling official duties; it is equally important to treat patients with sensitivity and a genuine spirit of service.
The Chief Minister emphasized to the new recruits that there is no greater calling than the service of patients. Do not view your duties merely as a job; rather, consider them an act of public service and a virtuous endeavor—perform them with complete honesty, dedication, and commitment. Your exemplary conduct, promptness, and spirit of service will further strengthen the trust that patients and their families place in the healthcare system.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that good health is the primary prerequisite for progress and success in life. A developed Chhattisgarh can only be built upon the foundation of a healthy Chhattisgarh. Only when our citizens are healthy can they contribute to the advancement of their families, society, and the state to the best of their potential. With this vision, the state government is continuously working to expand healthcare infrastructure while simultaneously increasing the availability of human resources.
He noted that in the 25 years since the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh, there has been a remarkable expansion in healthcare facilities. Accelerating this journey further, the state government is consistently working on establishing new medical colleges, developing modern medical amenities in hospitals, ensuring the availability of essential equipment and resources, and strengthening the healthcare workforce. Our goal is to develop a healthcare system where every citizen of the state can access quality treatment whenever the need arises.
- 520 newly appointed healthcare personnel to serve across 14 districts

The 520 selected candidates, appointed across various cadres of the Health Department, include 208 staff nurses, 95 male rural health coordinators, 94 female rural health coordinators, 25 pharmacists, 50 ward boys, and 48 ward ayas (nursing assistants). These newly appointed personnel will serve in 14 districts across the state. These appointments will bolster the human resources required for the operation of healthcare services in the respective districts, thereby facilitating the provision of better medical care to patients.
Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that most of the 14 districts where these new personnel will be deployed are tribal-majority areas; consequently, their responsibilities carry even greater significance. He stated that the continuous expansion of healthcare facilities in regions like Bastar and Surguja is yielding positive changes. The state government’s clear objective is to ensure that geographical distance does not become a barrier for any citizen in accessing quality medical treatment.

The Chief Minister remarked that healthcare workers serving in remote and tribal areas act as a vital link between the government and the general public. Work carried out with a spirit of service and sensitivity in these regions can bring about a significant transformation in the lives of many families. He urged the newly appointed staff to live up to the trust placed in them by the people, wherever they may be posted, and to play an active role in further improving healthcare services.
