- Villagers are getting relief by getting banking services in Gram Panchayats.
Atal Digital Kendras have been opened to make digital services accessible in the rural areas of Kondagaon district. Departmental officials said that through these centers operating in the villages, villagers are now getting banking and government services near their homes. This has reduced the need to go to the city and is also saving time and money. Through Atal Digital Kendras, facilities like banking services, electricity bill payment, DTH recharge, withdrawal of Mahatari Vandan Yojana amount, services related to labor card, receiving government scheme funds through Digi-Pay and vehicle and health insurance are being made available to the villagers.

Due to this, the villagers are now availing the services in a safe and transparent manner. Services have been expanded by signing MoU with VLEs in 260 Gram Panchayats of the district. So far, 2,78,083 transactions have been done through Atal Digital Kendras, through which transactions worth Rs 84 crore 23 lakh 23 thousand 76 have been done. With 136 transactions per VLE per month and Rs 410889 in Kondagaon district, Kondagaon district is at the “first” position in the state.
This reflects the growing trust in digital services in rural areas. He said that this initiative has saved villagers from having to travel to the city for even small tasks, increasing their convenience and satisfaction. The district administration is continuing efforts to further strengthen this system so that its benefits can reach as many people as possible.
