- Meaningful discussions held on tribal welfare and sports development
Goa’s Sports and Youth Affairs and Tribal Welfare Minister, Mr. Ramesh Tawdekar, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence office in the capital, Raipur. Extending a warm welcome to Mr. Tawdekar, who was on a visit to Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Mr. Sai presented him with a Bastar art symbol and local products from Jashpur.
Chief Minister Shri Sai discussed various issues related to tribal welfare and sports development with Shri Tawadkar. He stated that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously striving to promote sports and provide opportunities for talented athletes to advance by developing modern sports infrastructure in the state. The Chief Minister also noted that hosting the country’s first Khelo India Tribal Games in Chhattisgarh is a matter of pride for the state. This event will not only provide a national platform to tribal talent but will also elevate their cultural identity and self-confidence to new heights.
It is noteworthy that a Goa government delegation led by Mr. Ramesh Tawadkar is visiting Chhattisgarh to participate in the Khelo India Tribal Games. Along with participating in the sporting event, the delegation will also visit various sites associated with the state’s rich tribal culture and heritage, including the Chhattisgarh Muktangan and the Tribal Museum.
