- 9 new ‘108 Sanjeevani Express’ ambulances flagged off

Laxmi Rajwade, Minister for Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of Chhattisgarh, today flagged off nine state-of-the-art “108 Sanjeevani Express” ambulances, taking a significant initiative towards strengthening healthcare services in Surajpur district.
Launched from the District Hospital, Surajpur, this service will now provide quick emergency medical care to remote rural areas. Speaking
on the occasion, Minister Rajwade said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is committed to providing quality and prompt healthcare services to every citizen. She added that as a daughter of Surajpur, it is a proud moment for her to dedicate this life-saving facility to the people of her district.

She stated that these ambulances are not just vehicles, but vital life-saving tools. The government’s goal is to ensure that mothers, sisters, and children living in remote areas receive timely treatment in case of emergencies and medical assistance during the “golden hour.”
Minister Smt. Rajwade also stated that through better coordination with the ambulance operating agency, the quality of services and response time will be continuously improved. She personally stated that she would regularly monitor these services to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
Of the nine ambulances allocated to the district, two are permanently stationed at the District Hospital, Surajpur, while the remaining ambulances have been strategically deployed at various community health centers, ensuring prompt medical assistance in rural and remote areas.
