Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a new chapter of development is being written in the country. Embracing the mantra of “development with heritage,” the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are developing a shared culture in the areas of good governance and religious tourism. This will not only strengthen the relations between the two states but will also pave new avenues for public welfare. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said this during a visit to the world-famous Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor in Varanasi.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav began his Varanasi visit with darshan and worship of Lord Shiva, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Ji. He prayed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple as per the rituals and wished for the prosperity and continuous progress of the people of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached the holy Ganga Ghat and had darshan of the purifying Mother Ganga. He worshipped Mother Ganga with reverence and devotion and drank Ganga water. After darshan and worship, he said that the spiritual peace one gets by visiting the abode of Baba Vishwanath is amazing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the Varanasi experience as highly relevant for the upcoming Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He held a meeting with the trustees of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust. During the meeting, he closely reviewed the presentations on pilgrim management, crowd control, darshan arrangements, and the mobile app-based token system along the corridor. He stated that, drawing lessons from the management of the Prayagraj Kumbh and the Kashi Corridor, they are developing long-term plans for pilgrims in Ujjain. Our goal is to provide the highest and most convenient darshan arrangements for pilgrims. The presentations explained the SOPs for pilgrimage site management, which discussed real-time CCTV monitoring, zone-based crowd control, security protocols, and modern sanitation management methods. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was also presented with the book “Global Sanatan” by the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust on this occasion.
- Grand staging of Mahanatyam Emperor Vikramaditya in Varanasi

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a grand play is being staged in Varanasi from April 3 to 5 to promote the good governance and justice of Emperor Vikramaditya of Ujjain. Hundreds of artists will participate in this grand play, organized through the Emperor Vikramaditya Research Institute, which will feature live performances of ancient art forms, including elephants, horses, and camels.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also noted the growing economic and infrastructure cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. He said that the Ken-Betwa Link Project is changing the fortunes of farmers in both states. Farmers in both states will have access to affordable and uninterrupted electricity. Present during the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor visit and meeting were Uttar Pradesh Government’s Industrial Development Minister Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Rakesh Sachan, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Raghavendra Singh, Tourism Secretary Dr. Ilaya Raja T, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Shri Ashish Singh, Varanasi Collector Shri Satyendra Singh, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust CEO Shri Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, along with senior officials.
