Today, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, children from the Speech Therapy Center of Kopalvani School, along with their parents and teachers, visited Lok Bhavan and paid a courtesy visit to Governor Shri Ramen Deka. This occasion was not only special for the children but also proved to be an important step towards raising awareness about autism in society.

The Governor had a heartfelt conversation with the child, his parents, and with teachers dedicated to special needs children, commending their efforts. During this time, he gained an opportunity to understand autism closely and to sensitively understand the abilities and challenges of special needs children.
During the event, Mr. Deka met and spent time with the children in a very cordial manner. Together, they released blue balloons into the sky to convey the message that every child deserves equal opportunity, understanding, and acceptance in society.

On this occasion, Governor Mr. Deka provided e-rickshaws from his voluntary grant to facilitate the transportation of the children of Kopalvani Sansthan and he flagged off the e-rickshaws.
Kopalvani Director Mrs. Padma Sharma said that this is the first time that special children have reached Lok Bhavan. Parents also said that it is a matter of pride that their children are meeting the Governor today. They expressed confidence that with the right guidance, support of special teachers, parents and sensitive people of the society, these children will definitely achieve great heights in life.
