Mahatari Vandan Yojana helps empower women financially: Hema Singh becomes self-reliant after receiving financial assistance

The state government is committed to eliminating inequality against women, ensuring sustainable improvement in health and nutrition, and promoting economic independence and empowerment. The state government has implemented the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to enhance women’s economic independence, strengthen their decision-making role in the family, and empower them financially. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women began receiving monthly financial assistance of 1,000 rupees, which women saw as an opportunity and began using to strengthen their economic status. 

           The story of Mrs. Hema Singh, a resident of Majhgwan, a small village in the Marwahi development block of the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, has become an inspiration for many women. Once struggling with financial hardship, Hema Singh has now given her life a new direction through her self-confidence and the support of government programs. Under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, she began receiving financial assistance of 1,000 rupees per month. Hema Singh saw this as an opportunity. 

         Hema Singh saved this money and opened a small grocery store near her home. Gradually, her shop became successful. Meeting the needs of the villagers, her business began to grow, and her income became stable. Today, her shop has not only become the foundation of her financial strength but has also brought about a significant change in her family’s standard of living. Hema Singh is now able to provide a good education for her children and save for the future. While she used to worry about daily expenses, now her face clearly reflects confidence and satisfaction. 

           Women are continuously gaining economic strength through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. The Mahatari Vandan Yojana has brought new hope and opportunities to women’s lives. This scheme is an important initiative towards empowering women and improving their quality of life. Crediting her success, Hema Singh said that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has proven to be a new beginning for her. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and said that this scheme has inspired her to become self-reliant.
