The “Chief Minister’s Naunihal Scholarship Scheme” has emerged as a new ray of hope for the working class families of Chhattisgarh, who dream big despite limited resources. A prime example is the family of Mrs. Pratibha Nishad, a registered construction worker living in Ward No. 6 of Mohla, whose son, Nehal Nishad, received a scholarship under this scheme.
This support has been a lifeline for Pratibha Nishad, who dreams of providing a better education for her children despite financial constraints. Nehal’s scholarship has not only eased his academic burden but also boosted his confidence. Now, he is pursuing his goal with even greater enthusiasm.
Under this scheme, run by the Labor Department, students from Class 1 to postgraduate, professional, and research courses are provided with assistance ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 rupees. Significantly, there is no mandatory mark requirement, allowing more children from working families to benefit.
The success of this scheme in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district can be gauged from the fact that the target was to benefit 800 students in the academic session 2025-26, but due to departmental efforts, 2856 students were approved, which is 357 percent of the target.
