Senior thinker Mr. Alok Kumar said that Dr. Ambedkar was a highly educated personality, yet he faced discrimination in contemporary society. When it came to writing the Constitution, Mahatma Gandhi suggested to Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru that only one person was qualified to chair the Constitution Drafting Committee, and that person was Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Dr. Ambedkar was appointed Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee due to his abilities. He said that Dr. Ambedkar brought fraternity and brotherhood to society. He pledged equality. Article 17 of the Indian Constitution states that untouchability is abolished, liberating a large section of society from this injustice. Untouchability and discrimination have never been a cornerstone of Indian culture. We must all abide by the rules and regulations outlined in the Indian Constitution. We need to work for the country’s development, treating everyone equally. Every section of society must prosper socially, economically, and educationally.
