 834 applications received at Mohatra Samadhan Camp, 246 cases resolved on the spot

  • Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel listened to the problems of the villagers in the public problem resolution camp.

As part of Good Governance Festival 2026, a public problem resolution camp was organized on the secondary school campus of Mohatra Gram Panchayat in Bemetara district. Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Dayal Das Baghel attended the camp as the chief guest. A large number of villagers attended the camp and presented their problems and demands to the administration, which were resolved on the spot as far as possible.

    In the programme, various departments set up stalls and provided information about the government’s public welfare schemes, services and programmes. Eligible beneficiaries were also benefited from various schemes. During this, SDM Divya Potai, Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat along with officers and employees of various departments of the district were present and kept listening to the problems of common citizens at their respective departmental stalls. Before the start of the camp, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel prayed at the Ram Janaki temple in Mohtara and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the area. After this, he planted a sapling in the premises and gave the message of environmental protection.

    At a program organized by the Women and Child Development Department, Minister Mr. Baghel performed the baby shower ceremony for pregnant women and the first feeding ceremony for young children. During the event, information was also provided about schemes related to the health, nutrition, and care of women and children.

    As part of Good Governance Festival 2026, a large number of villagers attended the resolution camp held in the village of Mohtara Cluster of the Janpad Panchayat, Navagarh, and presented their problems and demands to the government and administration. A total of 834 applications were received at the camp, held at the High School Ground, Mohtara, including 814 demand-related and 20 complaint-related applications. Taking prompt action, the administration resolved 246 applications at the camp site, including 242 demand-related and 4 complaint-related cases. The remaining 588 applications are under process, including 572 demand-related and 16 complaint-related applications. At the camp, officials from various departments listened seriously to the problems of ordinary citizens and took action toward prompt resolution. Villagers praised the government’s initiative for receiving on-the-spot solutions.

  • Direct communication with the public, motivated to apply

    Minister Mr. Baghel, while directly interacting with the villagers present at the camp, said that citizens must be aware to take advantage of government schemes. He encouraged the villagers to submit their problems and demands through written applications. The Minister said that only when citizens become aware and convey their problems to the administration, will their quick resolution be possible. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the government’s objective is to bring the administration to the doorstep of the people, so that ordinary citizens do not have to visit offices for small problems. Through the camps, problems are being verified and resolved on the spot, and eligible beneficiaries are being provided immediate benefits of the schemes.

  • Instructions to officials for sensitivity and accountability

    Addressing administrative officials, Minister Mr. Baghel said that the benefits of government schemes should reach the last person in society. Instructing officials to work with sensitivity and accountability, he said that they should not limit themselves to paperwork, but rather ensure prompt and effective work on the ground. He warned that any kind of negligence in resolving public problems will not be tolerated. All officials should work in accordance with the government’s intentions and resolve the problems of the general public on a priority basis.

  • Information about government schemes

    In his address, Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel stated that the state government is continuously working for the upliftment of the rural and poor. He explained that efforts are being made to address the glitches in the tap water scheme in rural areas and ensure the availability of pure drinking water to every household. He stated that work is underway to construct 18 lakh houses in the state, ensuring that every needy family has access to a permanent home. To ensure farmers receive a fair price for their paddy, the government is purchasing paddy at a rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal. Minister Shri Baghel also shared information about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Yojana, ration card issuance, the simultaneous distribution of three months’ worth of rice, and road construction and development projects in the region. He also mentioned the construction of a 100-bed hospital in Navagarh and the approval of Mahtari Sadan.

  • Resolving public problems 

    A large number of villagers arrived at the camp with problems related to ration cards, pensions, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, electricity, drinking water, name transfers, demarcation, and agriculture. Minister Mr. Baghel directed the relevant departmental officials to take prompt action according to eligibility. In view of the intense heat, officials were also given necessary instructions to maintain a smooth drinking water supply and to quickly resolve problems related to power outages.

  • Beneficiaries of various schemes were benefited

    In the camp, Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel benefited the beneficiaries of the schemes of various departments with his own hands. Under the School Education Department, meritorious students of class 10th and 12th were given Pratibha Samman certificates and caste certificates were distributed to the students. Housing approval and keys were given to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Apart from this, new ration cards, job cards, Ayushman cards, ownership cards, nets for fish farming under the Fisheries Department and certificates of Sukanya Samriddhi and Noni Suraksha Yojana under the Women and Child Development Department were distributed. During the camp, enthusiasm was seen among the villagers regarding the government schemes and people appreciated the initiative of the administration and government for getting solutions on the spot.
