In a mass marriage conference, sons and daughters from different sections of society are tied in the same marriage pavilion. This celebration of collective consciousness sends a message of stopping wasteful expenditure and ostentation. Since the government and society have taken up the initiative of mass marriages, poor parents have breathed a sigh of relief. Affluent members of society should embrace simplicity and set the trend for marriages in mass marriage conferences. This will save every section of society from unnecessary wedding expenses and utilize available resources to build their families’ futures. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that he himself married his son in a mass marriage conference. He emphasized that it is every parent’s responsibility to care for their daughters’ education and make adequate arrangements for it. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually addressed a mass marriage ceremony for 200 daughters held in Ashta, Sehore district, from the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav blessed the bride and groom and extended his best wishes to their families.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that from December 2023 to April 2026, 170,187 daughters were married under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah/Nikah Scheme. Approximately ₹1,000 crore has been provided under the scheme so far. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that mass marriage ceremonies also allow daughters of economically disadvantaged families to be married off with respect. Marriage of children is a major responsibility for every parent, regardless of their social background. Organizing mass marriage ceremonies eliminates the need for parents to take out loans for marriage. Society and government complement each other. For change, both society and government must work together. Events like mass marriage ceremonies have become a valuable medium for social service today. At the event held in Ashta, Sehore district, MLA Shri Gopal Singh Engineer, President of the Ashta Janpad Panchayat Smt.
