Chief Secretary Mr. Vikassheel reviewed the implementation of important people-oriented schemes operated under various departments at the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Mantralaya) Mahanadi Bhawan here today. He sought detailed information from the departmental secretaries about the action taken by the departments on the recommendations made at the Fifth National Chief Secretaries’ Conference. The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of various departmental schemes, including those of the School Education, Skill Development, Higher Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, and Women and Child Development departments, and provided guidance to the officers. During the meeting, officials provided presentations on capacity building schemes related to good governance and technology. Similarly, information was sought on the progress being made regarding the data-based monitoring system to ensure transparent delivery of government schemes to the last mile.
The Chief Secretary, while inquiring about the status of Anganwadi buildings, directed departmental officials to issue necessary guidelines to collectors to operate Anganwadis in additional rooms in primary schools. Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, officials have been asked to construct additional rooms in schools where they do not already exist.

In the meeting, departmental officials provided information on the progress of important schemes of the Health and Family Welfare, Information and Technology, Primitive Tribe and Scheduled Caste, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Biotechnology and General Administration departments. Similarly, information was sought on the progress of important schemes operated under the Tourism, Energy, Culture, Labor, Commerce and Industry, Law and Legislative, Home, Revenue and Disaster, Good Governance and Convergence and Village Industries departments.
