Raipur, marking a significant step toward enhancing academic and professional opportunities for students and research scholars. The activity was initiated by the Training and Placement Cell of the university.The agreement was formally signed by Mr.V.K. Singh (AVP – HR), Manorama Industries Ltd and Mr. Gokulananda Panda, Registrar, MATS University. As part of this collaboration, international students from MATS University representing countries such as Ivory Coast, Uganda, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea, Sudan, Liberia, Rwanda, and Mozambique visited the company’s industrial facility at Birkoni Industrial Area. The students expressed keen interest in learning about the company’s operations and were particularly excited to learn about upcoming units being established in regions closer to their home countries. During the visit, Mr. Gautam Kumar Pal, Executive Director of Manorama Industries Ltd., addressed the students and shared valuable insights into the company’s operations and global supply chain. He elaborated on the procurement process of raw materials such as sal and sesame seeds, including their sourcing and transportation from West Africa to the Birkoni facility in India.

The students gained firsthand exposure to the production processes involved in converting raw materials into value-added products such as pulp, oil, cream, and butter. The visit also highlighted sustainable industrial practices adopted by the company. In addition to conventional fuels like coal and coke, the use of husk as an eco-friendly, non-polluting alternative fuel was demonstrated, reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The industrial visit proved to be highly informative and enriching, significantly enhancing the students’ understanding of real-world industrial operations and sustainable practices.The initiative and cooperation extended during the visit were highly appreciated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Gajraj Pagariya, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. P.
