Ms. Mehak Narwase, a talented young cricketer from Rajnandgaon district, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today. Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh and MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Ms. Mehak Narwase on being appointed vice-captain of both the T20 and ODI teams for the upcoming Indian Women’s Under-19 cricket team tour of Sri Lanka. He honored Mehak by presenting her with a shawl and a memento and wished her a bright future.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Mehak Narwase’s achievement is a matter of pride and inspiration not only for her family or Rajnandgaon district, but for the entire Chhattisgarh. He said that today, the daughters of the state are proving their talent in various fields, including sports, and are establishing new identities at the national level. Mehak has achieved this position through her hard work, discipline, and dedication, which is inspiring for the state’s youth, especially daughters.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Mehak would excel in upcoming international competitions and bring honor to Chhattisgarh and the country. Encouraging Mehak, he said, “Play hard, keep moving forward, and reach new heights. Your success will give wings to the dreams of thousands of young athletes in the state.”
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the state government is continuously working to encourage sports talent and provide them with better opportunities. The selection of Mehak Narwase as vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 women’s team is an excellent example of the state’s developing sports environment and the opportunities available to athletes.
