The son of a simple farmer living amidst adverse conditions and limited resources has proven that no goal is impossible if one has courage. Barse Roshan, a tribal student from the Jhapra region of the remote forested region of the district, has brought laurels to the entire state of Chhattisgarh by securing category rank 634 in the country’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam, the Shramm Advanced 2026.

The Collector and the District Administration have come forward to encourage the student on this historic achievement. In a prestigious ceremony held at Tungal Dam, Collector Mr. Amit Kumar honored student Barse Roshan by presenting him with a shawl and a coconut.

The District Administration will bear the entire fees for Barse Roshan’s higher education, so that he can complete his studies at the country’s top institute (IIT) without any financial worries.
