Artificial Intelligence is an aid, not a substitute for human intelligence – Mr. Deka

  • Governor inaugurated Samarth Bharat Conclave 2026

Governor Shri Ramen Deka today attended the inaugural session of the two-day Samarth Bharat Conclave 2026, organized jointly by Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur, and AISECT India Group, as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Deka said that the world is changing rapidly, and technology is constantly evolving with it. In such times, technology should be used for human welfare, social development, and environmental protection.

  • Use AI and other new technologies for innovation and social good. 

          The Governor said that artificial intelligence is an important technology of the modern era, which can help humans in many fields including medicine, agriculture, economy and education, but it cannot replace human intelligence, sensitivity and moral values. Technology should be adopted as a support in life and not considered a threat. He called upon the youth to use AI and other new technologies for innovation and social welfare. In his address, he also expressed concern over the increasing use of the Internet and said that along with its positive effects, it is important to pay attention to its negative aspects as well. Efforts should be made to avoid digital addiction.

  • ‘Widespread use of modern technologies is the need of the hour’

         The Governor stated that human civilization has always progressed through innovation and scientific discoveries. Just as the discovery of fire gave a new direction to human life, modern science and technology are playing a crucial role in shaping the future of India. He emphasized that the widespread use of modern technologies in areas such as agriculture, health, education, environment, and rural development is the need of the hour. Startups and innovation are not only tools for economic progress but also effective means of solving societal problems. Innovation can simplify the lives of the disabled, create new employment opportunities for youth, and connect society with new possibilities. He emphasized environmental protection and the adoption of an eco-friendly lifestyle. Placing special emphasis on environmental protection, the Governor stated that adopting renewable energy, solar energy, water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and an eco-friendly lifestyle are essential today. 

  • ‘The need of the hour is to bring the benefits of technology and innovation to India’s villages’

         Highlighting the strengths of Chhattisgarh, he said it is a state with a rich tribal culture and immense potential. There is no shortage of talent among its youth. The need is to connect them with quality education, skill development, and opportunities. He said that to strengthen the state’s economy, special emphasis must be placed on value addition in every sector, including agriculture, forest products, industry, and the service sector. The Governor said that bringing the benefits of technology and innovation to India’s villages is the need of the hour. 

  • “The government is making efforts to empower the youth in every way.” 

         Present as a special guest at the event, Minister of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, and Scheduled Caste Development, Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, said in his address that AI studies have been introduced in the state’s engineering colleges. Just as the country is progressing, the state is also advancing in the technological field. Efforts are being made to conduct courses in technical institutions tailored to the types of courses companies require today. The government is striving to empower youth in every way, so that they become job givers rather than job seekers.

  • ‘Governor flags off AI Kaushal Rath’ 

          At the event, University Vice-Chancellor Professor Pradeep Kumar Ghosh highlighted various dimensions of AI. Padmashree Shri Ajay Mandavi was specially present at the conclave. He also delivered an inspiring address. On this occasion, the Governor flagged off the AI ​​Kaushal Rath. This Rath will travel to various regions of the state and educate students, teachers, and the general public about the utility, potential, and employment opportunities of AI. This state-of-the-art mobile lab has been developed to provide free practical education in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, especially to rural youth.

  • Release of Kaushal Rath and book based on AI

           On this occasion, the Governor released the annual report of AISECT and a book on Kaushal Rath and AI. The program was moderated by Dr. Jyoti Bala Gupta, and the vote of thanks was given by Registrar Dr. Arvind Kumar Tiwari. University officials, professors, industry and bank officials, officers and employees of AISECT India Group, and a large number of rural entrepreneurs were present at the conclave.
