A state-level meeting with UNICEF was held today at the Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Vikassheel. The meeting discussed improving maternal and child nutrition and providing accurate nutrition information to pregnant women.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to educate pregnant women about a balanced and nutritious diet, essential care, and health information during pregnancy.
He said that an effective model should be developed so that every mother and child in the state can get a nutritious diet and improve their health. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Shehla Nigar, representatives of UNICEF, and senior officials from various departments.
