Organization of divisional level police training workshops to make passport verification more effective and timely

  • Division level police training workshop organized for the first time in Indore with special emphasis on providing speedy, transparent and quality passport services to common people will also be organized in other divisions of the state.

Police training workshops are being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Police at divisional level with the aim of providing simpler , transparent , timely and quality passport related services to the public and making the police verification process more effective. In the same order, under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police Secretarial Mr. A. Sai Manohar and Deputy Inspector General of Police Law and Order Mr. Tarun Nayak, Indore Division level police training workshop was organized for the first time at Indore Police Commissionerate , in which technical and procedural training was provided to police officers and employees related to passport verification process.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence/Security) Mr. Aman Singh Rathore , Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Mrs. Rashmi Mishra of Police Headquarters Bhopal , Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence) Mrs. Priyanka Dudve , Regional Passport Office Bhopal and Indore and technical team representatives of TCS , all eight districts of Indore Division—Indore , Dhar , Jhabua , Alirajpur , Police officers and staff involved in passport verification of Khandwa , Khargone , Barwani and Burhanpur attended the training , while Superintendents of Police of respective districts joined through virtual medium.

On this occasion Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh said that passport verification is not just an administrative process but it is an important responsibility related to citizens’ trust , national security and administrative accountability. He called upon all officers and employees to ensure sensitivity , transparency and quality verification within stipulated time frame.

Passport Officer Mr. Sutanshu Chaurasia said that as a result of the excellent coordination of the Police and Passport Department, Madhya Pradesh has achieved the first position in the country in the field of passport verification in the year 2024 and 2025 . He emphasized on working with vigilance , transparency and punctuality to maintain this achievement .

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime/Headquarters) Shri R.K. Singh said that timely , fair and factual police verification is the basis for providing prompt and reliable passport services to citizens.

During the workshop, AIG Smt. Rashmi Mishra , Zonal Passport Office Bhopal and Indore and TCS team imparted extensive training on various technical and procedural aspects related to passport verification process. Along with this , discussions were held to make passport work more effective , transparent and public interest and detailed guidance was given on important aspects and precautions during verification.

The objective of Madhya Pradesh Police is to provide speedy , simple , transparent and quality passport services to the public while strengthening the efficiency of police officers and employees and to make coordination between Police and Passport Department more effective. Similar training workshops will be organized in other divisions of the region in a phased manner , so that the passport verification process can be made more efficient , uniform and timely throughout the region.
