Friday became an important opportunity for budding badminton and tennis players of Madhya Pradesh to prove their talent. Under ‘Talent Search 2026-27’ conducted by Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, T.T. Badminton and Tennis Day-Boarding Selection Trials organized at Nagar Stadium, the players from different districts of the region displayed their sporting abilities with full enthusiasm.
A total of 75 players participated in the badminton trials, including 50 boys and 25 girls. At the same time, 18 players participated in the tennis selection trials, including 12 boys and 6 girls. Thus a total of 93 players showcased their talent in both the games.

Subh se hi TT. The Nagar Stadium area is filled with energy and enthusiasm of the players. During the Badminton Selection Trials, the participants’ footwork, technique, speed, fitness, game understanding and performance in match conditions were closely assessed by expert selectors.
At the same time, physical fitness test (physical fitness test) was also organized along with the technical skills of the players in the tennis trials. The selection committee evaluates the performance of all the participants as per the prescribed standards and assesses the suitable players.
- Selected players will get proper training
The players selected under the talent search campaign will be linked to the badminton and tennis day-boarding schemes of the department. Here they will be provided with regular training under the guidance of experienced coaches, modern sports facilities, scientific fitness programs and a competitive environment, so that they can be better prepared for national and international level competitions.
- Saturday will also be a golden opportunity
For those players who could not attend the trials on Friday due to some reason, the department has also fixed the selection process on July 18. Aspirants will be able to register from 1 pm, while the selection trials will start from 3 pm. The department has appealed to eligible players to take advantage of this opportunity by reaching out on time.
- New sports talents are being sought from all over the region
The Talent Search 2026-27 campaign of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare is a comprehensive initiative to identify new sports talents of the region and connect them with excellent training. The participation of a large number of young sportspersons in the ongoing selection trials shows that the enthusiasm of the youth towards sports in Madhya Pradesh is continuously increasing. The aim of the department is to develop these talents as future national and international level players by providing better platform, resources and expert guidance.
