I have increased the value of natural farming and agricultural products through conservation: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that farmers should increase their income by adopting advanced agricultural techniques, promoting natural farming and enhancing the value of agricultural products. He said that independent and prosperous agriculture is the strong foundation of developed Madhya Pradesh. He wished the farmers on Balram Agricultural Festival and called upon them to adopt modern agricultural techniques, promote innovation in agriculture and take maximum advantage of government schemes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav organized in Dhar district under the Farmer Welfare Year-2026.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that extensive public communication has been done towards implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. After consultation with the representatives of various political parties and various religions and communities, an important step in this direction will be taken by completing the necessary legislative process in the upcoming assembly annual session. Equal laws and equal rights for all citizens will strengthen the democratic system.

The objective of Balram Agricultural Festival is to provide information to the farmers about modern agricultural techniques, natural farming, value enhancement, agricultural mechanization and schemes of agriculture and allied departments. Cultural performances based on agriculture and imbued with patriotism were given in the program. Along with this, the message of creating a drug-free society was also given to the farmers and citizens present under the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan. Farmers were encouraged to move towards self-sustainable agriculture by installing solar pumps under Pradhan Mantri Kusum-B Yojana, natural farming, value enhancement of agricultural produce.

Exhibitions were organized by various agricultural cooperative organizations including Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Science Centre, Natural Agriculture, Balaram Talab, Micro Irrigation, Water Conservation, Srianna (Millet), Animal Husbandry Department, Fisheries Department, IFFCO, CRIBHCO. Farmers visited these exhibitions and got information about various schemes and techniques.

About two thousand farmers from across the district participated in the Balram Agricultural Festival. Apart from this there was notable presence of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), representatives of Farmers Organizations, Agricultural Input Dealers and officials and employees of Agriculture and Allied Departments. The festival proved to be an effective platform for farmers to get information about agricultural innovations, scientific techniques and government schemes. Collector Shri Rajeev Ranjan Meena and Superintendent of Police Shri Sachin Sharma were present on this occasion.
