- Organized awareness programs
As directed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh , an inspirational program was organized in the Agriculture College , Balaghat under the campaign ‘Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0’ with the aim of making the youth aware of the ill effects of drugs. The program started by garlanding and paying floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s picture.
The chief guest of the program Varasivni police station in-charge Mr. Anup Kumar Uike while addressing the students said that addiction affects the health of a person, family, punishment, career and society. He called upon the youth to adopt a disciplined life, positive thinking and good manners, saying that drug-free youth can play an effective role in nation building. He appealed to make positive use of social media, to be aware of the law and to make others aware by staying away from self-intoxication.
College founder Dr. Ghanshyam Deshmukh in his presidential address said that educational institutes are not only a medium of imparting education, but are also centers of personality and character development of students. He urged the students to adopt a drug free life and spread awareness in the society. On this occasion Assistant Sub-Inspector Mr. Rajkapur Rangare informed about the legal provisions related to narcotics and inspired the students to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately. At the same time, Chief Conservator Mr. Sujeet Katangle gave a message to the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle by actively participating in sports, yoga, cultural and constructive activities.
Program Officer of National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit Dr. Shailendra Bhallave highlighted the physical , mental and social side effects of drug addiction and called upon the students to be dedicated towards their goal and take an active part in creating a drug-free India.
College professors in the program Dr. Atul Srivastava, Dr. Surendra Rai, Dr. Ramakrishna Singh Solanki, Dr. Pooja Goswami, Dr. Rishikesh Thakur, Dr. Vikram Singh Gaur, Dr. Raju Panse, Dr. Ramesh Amle, Dr. Shraddha Karcho, Dr. Sunil Rajak, Dr. A large number of students including Uttam Bisen were present. At the end of the program, all the students and teachers took a collective oath to create a drug-free society and stay away from drugs and spread the message of drug-free among their families, friends and society.
