Bagicha’s special camp proved to be a boon for the disabled, 368 beneficiaries benefited.

  • One stop service for authentication, UDID card, pension and accessories

To make facilities easier and more accessible for persons with disabilities in the Bagicha development block of Jashpur district, a Disability Certification and UDID Card Camp was organized on June 24, 2026, at the Community Health Center, Bagicha. A large number of persons with disabilities attended the camp and benefited from various government schemes and services.
    A total of 368 persons with disabilities benefited during the camp. Disability certificates and UDID cards were issued and renewed. Applications were also received from eligible beneficiaries for disability pension, assistive device provision, and disability loan schemes.
    At the camp, 88-year-old Mrs. Salo Devi of Village Rauni Road, Kurumkela, Bagicha, was provided with a hearing aid, which will alleviate her hearing difficulties. In addition, two persons with disabilities were provided with information and guidance regarding prosthetic limbs.

At the camp, 192 persons with disabilities were identified and registered for UDID cards, while approximately 50 persons with disabilities received detailed information about disability pension and loan schemes.
    On this occasion, Civil Surgeon cum Chief Hospital Superintendent Dr. Deepdev Kashyap, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Shri Dharmendra Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Bagicha along with officers and employees of the Social Welfare Department and Janpad Panchayat Bagicha were present.
    Due to the successful organization of the camp, the disabled people got certification, identity card and information and benefits of various government schemes at one place, which ensured effective implementation of the public welfare schemes of the government.
