Better logistics system will help in connecting regional products with global markets: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has immense investment potential in the fields of energy, infrastructure, logistics and urban development. Madhya Pradesh is located in the center of the country and has easy road, rail and air connectivity from all parts of the country. Delivering your products from Madhya Pradesh to any corner of the country is simple and quick. Due to better industrial infrastructure, adequate energy and skilled manpower available in the region, Madhya Pradesh is a region full of all kinds of prospects in terms of industrial development. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a one-to-one meeting with leading investors and entrepreneurs of UAE on September 8 on the third day of ‘AIM Congress-2026’ (Annual Investment Meeting) held in Dubai. Under this Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Special Envoy for Business-Philanthropy of UAE and Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Enterprises Mr. Badr Jaffer, Chief Executive Officer of DP World Mr. Rizwan Soomar, Chairman-Managing Director of Rana Holdings Limited Dr. Darshan Singh Rana, Mr. Sunny Varki, Chairman-Founder of James Education Company, Mr. Siddharth Balachandran, Executive Chairman and CEO of Beaumark Corporation Limited, Mr. Shyam Kapoor, President-CEO of Sharaf Group, Mr. Amit Saicher, Global Head of VFS Global and Mr. L.T. A detailed discussion with Pagarani. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also invited representatives of industry groups to the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027 to be held next year.

  • The state government is encouraging technology-based entrepreneurship and startups

Chief Minister Dr. During the discussion, Yadav apprised Mr. Badr Jaffer, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Enterprises, about the opportunities available in the field of warehousing, logistics etc. for the major manufacturing clusters of the region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is continuously encouraging investment in technology based entrepreneurship and start-up sector. Mr. Jaffer expressed interest in long-term investment in the areas of urban infrastructure development, information technology, effective utilization of resources, technology transfer. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Shri Jafar had a special discussion about innovation in the field of energy and technology in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was told by Shri Jafar that Crescent Group is a multifaceted business group with interests in energy, logistics, infrastructure and long-term investments. Petroleum and entrepreneurship are the main areas of activity of Crescent. The headquarters of the company is in Sharjah.

  • Powarkheda will be developed as a major gateway for inland logistics

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed several topics including logistics and supply chain in a discussion with Mr. Rizwan Soomar, CEO, DP World. It is noteworthy that the unit of DP World is already operating in Madhya Pradesh and it is willing to expand its activities in the region. Mr. Soomar, CEO of the company said that DP World Company is an integrated global provider of end-to-end supply chain and business solutions. It is a 100% owned company by the Government of Dubai. The company is working in 80 countries including India. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Powarkheda Logistics Composite Hub is likely to be developed as a major gateway for inland logistics. Multimodal logistics, warehousing and cold-chain facilities serving major industrial and agricultural clusters will boost trade and business activities. By providing cargo consolidation, value addition and export support for farmers, FPOs, MSMEs and industries while reducing logistics costs and transport time through efficient rail-based freight, the region’s products will be linked to global markets, which will also increase employment opportunities at the local level.

  • Investments in smart manufacturing, data centers, green energy, e-mobility were discussed

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Chairman-Managing Director of Rana Holdings Limited Dr. Met Darshan Singh Rana. Investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh were discussed between the two. The meeting focused on smart manufacturing, data centers, green energy, green hydrogen, e-mobility and agricultural machinery.

  • International level K-12 school campuses will be established in major cities of the region

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while meeting the Chairman-Founder of James Education Company Mr. Sunny Varki apprised him about the innovations in education sector of the region and investment prospects in the region. Notably, James Education Company operates in School Education, Educational Management and Education Technology sector. Gems Education Company has expressed interest in setting up international standard K-12 school campuses in major cities and developing cities of Madhya Pradesh. Training will also be given in these schools to develop the skills of the students. The company will implement national and international curriculum according to local needs and future learning needs. Chief Minister Dr. Mr. Sunny Varki told Yadav that his company was established in the year 2000. The company is operating in Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America. The company’s focus is on quality education, teacher empowerment and innovation in education. Its headquarters is in Dubai.

  • Beaumark Corporation interested in investing in the region

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a one-to-one meeting with Mr. Siddharth Balachandran, Executive Chairman and CEO of Beaumark Corporation Limited. Mr. Balachandran expressed his willingness to invest in many sectors including infrastructure, health care, technology, green energy.

  • Sharaf Group interested in setting up operations and establishment in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Mr. Shyam Kapoor, President-CEO of Sharaf Group. Many important issues including shipping-logistics, supply chain were discussed between the two. The meeting discussed the proposal to establish a logistics park with rail-siding in Madhya Pradesh. An investment of around 30 to 50 million US dollars is proposed for this. This project is likely to create employment opportunities for around 300 to 600 people. The company is willing to invest in Indore and Pithampur area. Development of multimodal logistics parks, modern warehousing and regional distribution centers were discussed in the meeting. Company President Mr. Kapur told the meeting that the company is present in India through its Indian subsidiary Hind Terminals Private Limited (HTPL) which operates inland container depots as well as provides cold-chain solutions for the preservation of fresh agricultural produce. The company operates 35 freight trains and around 900 trucks in India. The company is particularly keen to set up its operations and establishment in Madhya Pradesh.

  • Visa services will be expanded in Bhopal and Indore

Chief Minister Dr. Mr. Amit Saichar, Global Head of VFS Global had a cordial and result oriented meeting with Yadav. In the meeting, extensive discussions were held on investment in the state, employment, ease of visa services, tourism and skill development of youth. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav encouraged VFS Global to expand the range of visa application services in Bhopal and Indore and further strengthen regional reach. The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on increasing the employability of the youth of the state. During the discussion, consideration was given to starting industry-oriented travel, tourism and hospitality training programs for local youth.

  • Choithram Group is interested in setting up supermarkets and modern grocery retail centres

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Mr. L. Chairman of ‘Choithram’, a leading multinational group in the supermarket, distribution and manufacturing sector. T. A detailed discussion on the investment policies and business prospects of the region with Pagarani. The Choithram Group, headquartered in Dubai, is a reputed international conglomerate operating since 1943. The group, which has a strong presence in Europe, North America and Africa, specializes in retail, food services, logistics and brand distribution. During the meeting, it was agreed on the development of modern business infrastructure in the state. The group is interested in setting up supermarkets and modern grocery-retail formats in major cities of the region. Under the industrial partnership, the group will procure agricultural and processed food products directly from local manufacturers and farmers of Madhya Pradesh. Food processing, packaging and private label manufacturing will be accelerated in the state using local raw materials.
