- Cabinet Secretary discusses action plan for programmes and schemes of national importance
Dr. T.V. Somanathan, Cabinet Secretary of the Government of India, today held a conference of Chief Secretaries of all the states of the country through video conference from New Delhi. He told the Chief Secretaries that the Central Government and the State Governments should jointly implement programmes and schemes of national importance. In the conference, there was a detailed discussion on the operation and implementation of education, health, children’s health and education, Apaar ID, management of Anganwadis, Arogya Mandir, Self-reliant India, Swadeshi Livelihood Mission, PM Janman, Pension Scheme and other important public welfare schemes of the Government of India in the states.
During the video conference, discussions were held regarding the necessary arrangements for the upcoming National Conference of NITI Aayog and the re-NEET exam to be conducted by NTA. Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vikassheel Nava joined the video conference from Raipur. The work done in Chhattisgarh under Livelihood Mission, Aspirational District and Niyyad Nellanar Yojana was specially mentioned in the CS Conference. Secretaries of various departments of the Central Government and Chief Secretaries of all the states and secretaries of various departments of the states also participated in the video conference.
