- Vice President to Attend AIIMS Raipur Convocation; Instructions Issued Regarding Arrangements
A meeting of state-level officials was held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel, to review preparations for the proposed visit of the Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, to Chhattisgarh on September 2. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding security, protocol, traffic, medical facilities, reception, and necessary arrangements at the event venue.
It is noteworthy that Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan will attend the convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, on September 2.
- Chief Secretary Issues Instructions for Arrangements Based on the Minute-by-Minute Schedule
Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel directed officials to ensure that all arrangements during Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan’s visit strictly adhere to established protocols and the minute-by-minute schedule. He instructed that all arrangements—including entry and exit plans for the route from the airport to the venue and the return journey—be finalized with effective coordination.
The Chief Secretary issued necessary instructions to the Raipur Collector regarding reception arrangements at the airport, the reception line, reception at AIIMS, and other protocol-related matters. He also directed that adequate police deployment and security arrangements be ensured at both the airport and the event venue.
- Special Emphasis on Security, Medical, and Lighting Arrangements

The Chief Secretary directed the Home Department to ensure necessary measures for security arrangements during the Vice President’s visit. Additionally, instructions were issued to ensure proper accommodation, lighting and electrical arrangements, medical facilities, and the availability of emergency medical aid. He asked all departments to work in coordination, paying special attention to the necessary arrangements at the event venue.
Instructions were given to ensure that the seating arrangements at the event comply with the protocols prescribed by the Government of India and the received dais plan. Directives were also issued to ensure all necessary arrangements—including the rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ and the National Anthem at the start of the program—are made in accordance with established protocols. The Chief Secretary also directed the AIIMS management and officials to ensure that all arrangements related to the convocation ceremony are meticulously organized.
Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting, including Principal Secretary (Home and Jail) Smt. Niharika Barik, Secretary (General Administration) Shri Avinash Champawat, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Kumar Bansal, Raipur Commissioner Shri Shyam Dhawde, Joint Secretary (Good Governance and Convergence) Mayank Agrawal, Deputy Secretary (General Administration) Smt. Anshika Pandey, the Raipur Collector, the Raipur IG, and the Medical Officer of AIIMS Raipur.
