Cleanliness Drive Conducted with Public Participation at Rampur Ashram

A cleanliness drive was conducted at Rampur Ashram, located in Chapka Gram Panchayat of Bastar district, with public participation as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp’ (Pledge of Service) campaign. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap participated in voluntary labor (shramdaan) alongside local residents and public representatives, personally using a broom to clean the area. During the event, the historic temple premises, the Markandi river ghat, and the natural water pond were cleaned, conveying a message about cleanliness and the conservation of water sources.

Local villagers and public representatives participated enthusiastically in the cleanliness drive. Together, they cleared away garbage, plastic, and other waste scattered around the river ghat, the natural water pond, and the temple complex. Forest Minister Shri Kashyap emphasized the need to embrace cleanliness as a collective responsibility and highlighted the importance of increasing public participation in maintaining the cleanliness of religious sites, public places, and natural water sources.

On this occasion, the villagers also took a collective pledge to keep the water sources clean and pristine. Participants who contributed voluntary labor included Bastar Zila Panchayat President Smt. Vedvati Kashyap, District Central Cooperative Bank President Shri Dinesh Kashyap, other Panchayat representatives, the Swachh Bharat Mission team, and a large number of local villagers.
