Emphasis on setting up new industrial areas in the state: Industry Minister Shri Devangan
The 152nd meeting of the Board of Directors of Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) was chaired by Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, where the new industrial policy of the state, effective from 01 November 2024, was discussed. The policy aims to attract investment, accelerate state development, and strengthen the local economy by creating a better industrial environment and providing employment opportunities to residents.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of Commerce and Industry Shri Ankit Anand, Director of Town and Country Investment Shri Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director of CSIDC Shri P. Arun Prasad, and Deputy Secretary of Finance Department Smt. Pooja Shukla Mishra. Several important decisions were made during the meeting.
In principle, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Government announced the approval for the establishment of a pharmaceutical park in 141.84 acres in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar Sector-22, aiming to boost new investment and local employment. Additionally, approval was granted for the creation of Aadarsh Industrial Area in various locations within the state, as well as for the construction of Udyog Bhawan in Nava Raipur, all contributing to the advancement of industrial investment and development in Chhattisgarh.
