E-KYC campaign for Mahatari Vandan Yojana

  • Door-to-door e-KYC is being done,
  • Raigarh district is at first place in the state

E-KYC for eligible beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is being completed at a rapid pace in Raigarh district. Under the guidance of the Collector, a joint team of the Women and Child Development Department, Anganwadi workers, supervisors, and VLEs is conducting door-to-door e-KYC for women who are unable to reach the centers due to old age, illness, or disability.
Under the campaign, remaining beneficiaries have been identified by preparing sector-wise and village-wise lists. The team is completing the e-KYC process along with document verification, eliminating the possibility of any eligible woman being excluded from the scheme. During a special campaign in the Ranisagar Khadiapara area, e-KYC was conducted at the homes of three unwell women. The process was successful in two cases, while one is pending due to technical reasons.

It is noteworthy that Raigarh district has secured first place in the state in the e-KYC campaign for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. According to state-level reports, the district has completed 96.47 percent e-KYC, while departmental data indicates this progress has reached nearly 97 percent. Under the scheme, eligible married women receive financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month directly into their bank accounts. To ensure transparency, e-KYC has been made mandatory.
