Ensure 100% Girdawari in Digital Crop Survey – Chief Secretary Shri Vikasshiil

A meeting regarding the Digital Crop Survey was held today at the Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikassheel. The meeting reviewed the progress of the survey, the completeness of land records, and the necessary steps to ensure 100% Girdawari. Chief Secretary Shri Vikassheel directed officials to prepare digital records of the actual status of crops sown in the areas where they have been cultivated. The relevant Khasra records should be verified to ensure that the land is sown with crops. In cropped areas, polygons should be created and information recorded as per the prescribed procedure. He said that accurate and reliable details of crops sown in the fields should be prepared through the Digital Crop Survey.

  • Instructions for cross verification of digital crop survey

The Chief Secretary has directed officials to form state-level teams to conduct field verification in various districts to ensure the quality of the survey. He directed that the information recorded in the survey be verified on the spot and a report be prepared on how many Khasra records have been verified, how many records have been found correct, and where errors have been found. In addition to correcting erroneous records, internal audit of the survey should also be ensured. He has also directed that the digital crop survey data be compared with data related to paddy cultivation, farmer registration, and paddy procurement. He has asked officials to compare the information available in various records and make necessary corrections.

  • Find technical solutions to resolve map errors

The meeting reviewed the major obstacles encountered during the digital crop survey. The Chief Secretary stated that work should not be unnecessarily delayed due to the unavailability of maps and other technical problems. The Revenue Department should explore appropriate technical solutions to address these issues. The Chief Secretary directed that an action plan be developed to update maps as needed. He directed that physical verification and polygon verification, where required, be completed according to the prescribed procedures.

  • Review the works by holding meetings with the collectors

The Chief Secretary directed Revenue Department officials to hold meetings with collectors to review the progress and verification work of the Digital Crop Survey. He urged concerned officials in all districts to verify village and farm records and ensure timely action to address deficiencies. Regular monitoring of the survey, along with coordination between various departments, should ensure effective completion of the work.
