Governor Shri Patel was addressing the NCC at Home function at the Sandipani auditorium of Lok Bhavan on Monday. On this occasion, he honoured the NCC cadets of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Directorate who won medals and achievements in the Republic Day 2026 National Parade and various competitions. Governor Shri Patel congratulated the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate for securing the overall third position at the national level. He wished them to achieve the first position in the future. Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari was also present at the function.

Governor Shri Patel said that NCC cadets should be educated and disciplined, as well as cultured. They should uphold ideal life values ​​and always respect their parents, teachers, instructors, and superiors. He urged young people to incorporate the Constitution’s values ​​of justice, equality, freedom, and fraternity into their lives and use them for the welfare of the poor, deprived, and needy. They should lead society as flag-bearers in the areas of cleanliness, social harmony, environmental protection, digital literacy, and health awareness. Governor Shri Patel urged every youth to actively contribute to the building of society and the nation with the spirit of “Whether we live for a few days or not, Mother, may your glory always remain.” They should pledge to ideally fulfill their duties, rights, rules, and social responsibilities with love and devotion to the nation every moment of their lives. 

Governor Shri Patel praised the cultural presentations at the event. He said that the NCC cadets’ cultural performances exemplified zeal and passion, showcasing India’s unity in diversity. Before Governor Shri Patel, the NCC cadets showcased the greatness of women in “Aye Mere Bharat Ki Nari, Tu Hai Mahaan” and the new India through presentations based on “Nav Bharatam-Shrestha Bharatam.”

Additional Director General of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate Major General J.P. Singh welcomed Governor Shri Patel by presenting a bouquet and a memento. Major General Singh gave a welcome address and detailed information about the state’s participation in the Republic Day Camp-2026. Senior Under Officer Ms. Pratha Singh Umath shared her experiences of the Republic Day Camp-2026. Additional Secretary to the Governor Shri Umashankar Bhargava, officers and employees of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate, NCC cadets and their families were present in the program.
