Following strict instructions from Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, repair work on the incomplete section of road between Pathalgaon and Kunkuri has now gained momentum. During a review meeting of construction projects in the Surguja division held in Balrampur yesterday, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai expressed displeasure over the poor condition of this road and the delay in repairs.

The Chief Minister had clearly stated that the incomplete road was causing significant traffic problems for the public and that, in view of the upcoming rainy season, immediate repairs to the road were essential. Following this, immediate action was initiated at the departmental level, and repair work was prioritized.

According to a letter issued by the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, the government has approved the previously submitted proposal for the repair of the incomplete portion of the Pathalgaon-Kunkuri road and directed that work begin immediately. Repair work will begin soon through a zonal agency. If a zonal agency is not available, work can also be performed under the existing contracts of the respective divisions.

Additionally, the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, National Highways, Ambikapur, has been directed to establish his headquarters in Kunkuri until the repair work is completed, ensuring continuous monitoring and prompt implementation. Instructions have also been given not to leave the headquarters without permission, to prevent any laxity in the work. Chief Minister Shri Sai has taken this matter very seriously and has made it clear that negligence in road repairs will not be tolerated. This initiative will not only facilitate traffic flow but also alleviate potential disruptions during the rainy season.

This action, which has been expedited after the instructions of the Chief Minister, will prove to be a big relief for the people of the area and this long pending road improvement work is now gaining momentum.
