Food Department’s action in Raipur

Expired flour, dirty maida, reused oil and Veg-Non veg together

On Friday night in Raipur, the Food and Drug Department conducted a raid on the food outlets located in both Magneto Mall and City Center Mall. During the inspection, it was discovered that the KFC outlet in Magneto Mall was repeatedly using used frying oil, which is a violation of food safety regulations. Additionally, upon further investigation, it was revealed that both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes served at the outlet were contaminated.

The team from the Food and Drug Department took immediate action to address the violations found during the raid. The use of used frying oil poses serious health risks to consumers, as it can lead to the consumption of harmful substances that may cause foodborne illnesses.

Furthermore, the contamination of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes raises concerns about the overall hygiene and food safety practices followed by the outlet.

As a result of the raid, the KFC outlet in Magneto Mall may face penalties and fines for their non-compliance with food safety regulations. It is crucial for food establishments to adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of their customers.

The Food and Drug Department will continue to monitor and inspect food outlets to prevent such violations and protect the public from potential health hazards associated with contaminated food.
