They secured victory in the seventh over by 7 wickets, scoring 81 runs in just 6.3 overs. This win led India to claim a 2-0 victory in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, with the second match taking place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on 28 July.
