The athletes of Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy performed brilliantly in the 21st National Youth Athletics Championship-2026 held at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana, Punjab from 01 to 03 September 2026. In the competition, Boarding Boys’ player Krishna Chandra set a new meet record in the men’s javelin throw with a javelin throw of 79.92m, while in the girls’ javelin throw, Academy’s player Shivani Patel won the bronze medal with a performance of 49.35m. In this event, Shahiba Bano secured the fourth position with 48.75 meters.

In men’s javelin throw, 17-year-old player Krishna Chandra of Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy set a new competition record with a brilliant performance. Krishna threw the javelin 79.92 meters in his first attempt. His fourth attempt was also 78.15 meters. Of the six attempts, two were valid and both were better than the previous meet record, while the other four were fouls.
Krishna Chandra is undergoing training at Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy under the guidance of coach Mohammad Hadish. After the competition, he said that his target was to get close to the national record, but due to back pain, he could not continue his performance.
