- Nursing dreams get support from Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme
It is said that if one is determined and has the support of the government, even hardship cannot hinder success. Mamta, a resident of Bhittikala in Surguja district, has achieved just that. Currently a third-year B.Sc. Nursing student, Mamta is confident about her studies and credits the Chhattisgarh government’s public welfare programs for this.
A Ray of Hope Amid Struggles
Mamta’s life journey wasn’t easy. After the death of her father, the late Motu Ram, the entire responsibility of the household fell on her mother, Pyaaro Bai. She didn’t give up and worked as a registered laborer to support the family. Despite a lack of resources, Pyaaro Bai’s dream was to provide her daughter with a higher education, a dream that has been realized by the Chhattisgarh government’s Labor Department.
Meritorious Education Assistance Made the Path
Easier Mamta explained that she received an annual assistance of ₹45,000 under the Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme through the Labor Department. This amount has eased the burden of her tuition fees and other education-related expenses. She explained, “My mother is a laborer, yet she never let us turn back. Because of this financial assistance from the Labor Department, I am able to complete my nursing studies and dream of a bright future.”
Expressing gratitude for the scheme,
Mamta, while giving credit for her success, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, and the Labor Department, saying that this scheme of the government has become a powerful medium for economically weak meritorious students. Due to which the dream of studying and moving ahead has come true. Through the Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, thousands of daughters like Mamta are now not only getting educated, but also becoming self-reliant and moving ahead in the mainstream of the society.
