Lata receives benefits under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana after safe delivery

Since millions of women began receiving a lump sum payment under the Maternity Vandana Yojana (MMTVY), their delivery and postpartum period have become easier. Under the Pradhan Mantri Maternity Vandana Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women are provided with five thousand rupees for their postpartum nutrition. This ensures better health for both mothers and their newborns. Sunita, a beneficiary of such a scheme, is looking forward to a bright future with her healthy child.

Mrs. Lata, a farmer, lives in Kharwat Gram Panchayat, Koriya district. Her husband is engaged in agriculture. A few months ago, she had the opportunity to give birth to a child. At a time when she needed financial support the most, she received a direct deposit of five thousand rupees into her account under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.

Mrs. Lata explained that she used the funds received from the Maternity Vandana Scheme for her nutritional needs. She thanked Prime Minister Modi for providing timely funds to spend on her health and urged all pregnant women to join the initiative.
