Vice Chancellor described yoga as the essence of lifeA five-day yoga camp was organized from 16 to 20 June 2025 at the Arang and Pandri campus of MATS University to commemorate International Yoga Day 2025, which concluded with a grand yoga program on 21 June 2025. The event was led by the Department of Physical Education and Yoga.The chief guest of the closing ceremony held at the Arang campus was Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. K.P. Yadav. Throwing light on the deep connection between yoga and life, he said:”Yoga is not just a physical practice, but it is a complete way of life that leads us to a balance of body, mind and soul. In today’s fast-paced life, mental stress, anxiety and chaos have become common. Yoga teaches us the art of looking within ourselves, gaining self-control and maintaining stability.Yoga makes a person disciplined, healthy and balanced. For students, it is a path of self-development, for teachers, it is a means of self-control and for society, it is a symbol of peace and goodwill. We all should make yoga a habit of life, not just for one day.**”The Vice Chancellor also said that the university will continue to organize regular yoga programs in the future so that students and teachers continue to get its benefits.Registrar Shri Gokulananda Panda was the chief guest at the program organized at the Pandari campus. He also described yoga as the key to an integrated and balanced life.Heads of all departments, faculty members and students were present on this occasion. Yoga training was led by Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sahu (Arang Campus), Shri Divesh Kumar and Dr. Raghav Verma (Pandri Campus).The program concluded with Shanti Paath. Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Head of Department, Physical Education and Yoga Department, encouraged everyone to practice yoga regularly and said that “Yoga is not just the practice of asanas, but a direction to live a positive and disciplined life.”In the program, Chancellor of MATS University Gajraj Pagariya, Director General Priyesh Pagariya, Vice Chancellor Prof. KP Yadav, Registrar Gokulananda Panda congratulated the International Yoga Day
