MATS University Organizes Industrial Visit to Adani Power Plant, Tilda

MATS University organized an educational Industrial Visit to Adani Power Plant, Tilda, Raipur, as part of the CSR initiative during the third day of the Orientation Programme – Deeksharambh 2026. The visit was organized by the School of Business Studies to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and help them connect classroom learning with real-world business and production processes.Students of B.Com. First Year actively participated in the industrial visit and had an enriching experience exploring the plant. During the tour, the students observed various production activities and industrial processes, gaining valuable insights into the functioning of a large-scale power plant.An interactive session with the plant authorities further enhanced the learning experience. The students enthusiastically raised questions regarding production, operations, and other aspects of the industry. The plant officials patiently addressed their queries and provided valuable explanations, enabling the students to develop a better understanding of industrial practices and professional work environments.As a gesture of hospitality, refreshments were also provided to the students during the visit. The overall experience was highly appreciated by the students, who expressed their enthusiasm about gaining firsthand knowledge of industry operations beyond the classroom.The University leadership extended their best wishes and appreciation for organizing the educational initiative. Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Gajraj Pagariya, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. K. P. Yadav, Director General Shri Priyesh Pagariya, and Registrar Shri Gokulananda Panda congratulated the department for successfully conducting the industrial visit and emphasized the importance of experiential learning in students’ academic and professional development.The visit was accompanied by faculty members Mr. Deeptanshu Sharma and Dr. Tanya Jyotsana, who guided and supported the students throughout the tour. The visit was successfully coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Umesh Gupta, Head of the Department, School of Business & Management Studies.The Industrial Visit to Adani Power Plant proved to be a valuable learning opportunity for the B.Com.
