Minister Laxmi Rajwade took part in the Seva Sankalp with a broom and raised awareness about cleanliness through voluntary labour.

  • A public-participating clean-up campaign was launched at the Hanuman Temple complex in Shivnandanpur; the site is intended to be developed into a park.

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, a public-participating cleanliness drive was organized in Shivnandanpur Nagar Panchayat, Surajpur district. Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, participated in the Hanuman Temple complex near Ambedkar Chowk by sweeping and removing weeds. She participated in the cleanup along with Swachhata Didi’s, local women, and citizens, spreading the message of keeping public spaces clean.

In a campaign organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, public representatives, officials, employees, and citizens joined together to clean the temple premises. During this campaign, people were encouraged to keep their surroundings and public places clean and to make cleanliness a part of their daily lives.

Minister Smt. Rajwade said that public participation in service and cleanliness can bring positive change in society. Through collective efforts, public spaces can be made clean and beautiful, while also ensuring their optimal use. She expressed her intention to develop this site in Shivnandanpur into a park. This will provide local citizens with a well-organized public space surrounded by greenery and enhance the city’s beauty.

The minister got his photo clicked with the photo frame of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan installed by the Nagar Panchayat at the venue of the programme. This frame decorated with the messages of cleanliness and garbage free India was a part of the initiative to make citizens aware about cleanliness.

At the end of the campaign, the people present took a pledge to keep public and religious places clean and to make the city clean, beautiful and polythene free. On this occasion, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Vijendra Singh Patle, District Panchayat President Mrs. Swati Singh, other public representatives, Nagar Panchayat officers-employees, Swachhata Didi’s and citizens were present.
