- Better roads are a strong foundation for rural development, quality construction will increase development opportunities: Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade
Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade presented a major road development gift to the residents of the Bhaiyathan area by performing the groundbreaking ceremony for two important road construction and upgradation projects costing over 34 crore 15 lakh rupees. With the completion of these projects, transportation in rural areas will become easier, people will have better access to education, health, markets and other essential services, and the pace of development in the region will take a new direction.
Minister Laxmi Rajwade stated that roads are the lifeline of development. A strong and improved road network increases village connectivity and strengthens the rural economy. The government’s effort is to provide quality infrastructure to remote rural areas and provide better transportation facilities to the people. She stated that these road projects will benefit farmers, students, businessmen, and the general public.
She directed Public Works Department officials and construction agencies to complete all work within the stipulated timeframe. Ensuring strict adherence to quality standards in construction, she emphasized that only strong and durable infrastructure can deliver lasting benefits of development projects to the people.
- 18 km road from National Highway-43 to Kenwara will be widened.
The major works performed during the commencement puja include the widening and upgrading of the Kenwara road from Dumaria National Highway-43. The 18-kilometer-long road will be widened at a cost of approximately ₹30.41 crore. The project will include the construction of 6,570 meters of drain, 300 meters of toe-wall, 140 meters of retaining wall, 8 HPC and 7 slab culverts, along with bituminous concrete and shoulder work. The road upgrade will improve connectivity and transportation facilities in rural areas connected to National Highway-43.
- Jhammanpara will get better connectivity through Darripara-Danauli road
In the same sequence, a puja was performed to commence the construction of a 3.20-kilometer road from Darripara to Danauli in Jhammanpara. Administrative approval of ₹374.76 lakh has been granted for this project. The project will include the construction of a 3.20-kilometer road, a 0.90-kilometer concrete road, a 1,200-meter drain, a 90-meter retaining wall, and six HPC culverts. This will provide improved transportation facilities for local villagers and accelerate the development of the area.
- Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade appealed to join the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
During the program, Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade appealed to the residents of the area to actively participate in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. She explained that the objective of this campaign, which will be held from September 17th to October 17th, is to strengthen the spirit of service, public participation, and public welfare. She called on citizens, public representatives, youth, women, and social organizations to actively participate in the campaign, saying that through collective efforts, works of service and public welfare can be given new impetus.
