MUN 4.0 Conference Organized at IIIT Naya Raipur

The International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur successfully
concluded the fourth edition of its flagship Model United Nations conference, MUN 4.0,
held on April 5–6, 2025. The two-day event brought together bright minds from across
institutions, all united by a shared passion for diplomacy, debate, and policymaking.
MUN is a popular extra-curricular activity in which students roleplay as delegates to
the United Nations, simulate UN committees, and learn about diplomacy, international
relations, current world issues, and the UN itself. MUN conferences help students in
honing their public speaking, debate, and speech writing skills faster and better than
most other activities.
The conference began with an inspiring opening ceremony, where dignitaries, faculty
members, and the organizing committee welcomed delegates with words of
encouragement. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as delegates prepared for
two days of intense deliberation and debate.
This year’s edition featured seven vibrant committees that tackled a wide array of global
and regional issues. These included the Continuous Crisis Committee (CCC), United
Nations Security Council (UNSC), United Nations General Assembly – Disarmament
and International Security Committee (UNGA-DISEC), United Nations International
Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM),
International Press (IP), and the uniquely regional Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha (CGVS).
Each committee provided a dynamic platform for delegates to demonstrate their
knowledge, creativity, and diplomatic acumen.
Across the board, committees witnessed high-quality debates, as participants actively
collaborated and competed to propose innovative solutions while authentically
representing their assigned portfolios.
The event concluded with a heartfelt and celebratory closing ceremony. Outstanding
performances were recognized and appreciated, while delegates and Executive Board
members reflected on their enriching experiences. The organizing team was applauded
for their dedication and seamless execution.
The success of MUN 4.0 was made possible through the leadership and efforts of the
core students team: Shashank Mishra (Secretary General), Sayyed Raahim Adnan Ali
(Director General), Aditya Jha (Head of Operations), Divyansh Kumar Singh Chauhan
(Chargé d’Affaires), Anushka Ekka (Head of Drafting), Kaushal Ranjan (Head of
Creatives), and Dr. Manoj Kumar Majumdar (Faculty Coordinator).
