 Nayi Chetana 4.0 campaign raises awareness about gender equality, pledges to build a safe and sensitive society

Under the “Nayi Chetana 4.0” campaign, run by the Women and Child Development Department, extensive public awareness activities are being organized across the state against gender-based discrimination and violence. The campaign aims to increase social awareness about the rights of women and girls and to create a safe environment based on gender equality.

In this connection, in the programmes organised in various districts and block headquarters including Bijapur, women, adolescent girls, Anganwadi workers, public representatives, students and common citizens were given detailed information about gender equality, prevention of domestic violence, prohibition of child marriage, child protection, cyber security, women helpline services and various welfare schemes of the government.

During the campaign, participants were raised awareness about the importance of respecting, protecting, and safeguarding the rights of women and girls. A message was also conveyed to eliminate gender discrimination prevalent in society and promote respectful treatment of women. Attendees took a collective pledge to build a society free from violence, discrimination, and inequality. 

Departmental officials said that the “Nayi Chetna 4.0” campaign is not just an awareness programme but a public participation based initiative to bring positive change in the society, which is playing an important role in providing a safe, respectful and equal opportunity environment to women and girls.
