No more waiting months for mutation; Mangal Singh Sandiya’s task completed immediately after property registration

  • ‘Auto-mutation’ brings major relief; freedom from running around to the Tehsil office and long waits
  • Lives of ordinary citizens are becoming easier due to registration reforms implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of Finance and Registration Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary

The hassle of waiting months for mutation after land registration is now being eliminated thanks to a technology-driven registration system. Shri Mangal Singh Sandiya, a resident of Village Kotkakharra (Post Lalpur) in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, personally experienced this change. The mutation process, which previously required a wait of several months, was completed immediately after registration this time. The Registration Department’s ‘auto-mutation’ facility spared him from a lengthy procedure and unnecessary running around. Sharing his experience during an interaction with the Registration Department under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Resolution Campaign), he described this new system as extremely beneficial for the common citizen.

In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision for a ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’ (Developed Chhattisgarh), significant reforms are being undertaken under the guidance of Finance and Registration Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary to make the state’s registration services simple, accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric. The auto-mutation system, which links the mutation process with property registration, is a crucial part of these reforms. It relieves citizens of the burden of completing separate office procedures and enduring long waits for mutation after registration.

  • Previously, months of waiting for mutation; now, the task is completed right along with registration

Shri Mangal Singh Sandiya mentioned that earlier, it used to take a long time to complete the mutation process after getting land registered. Often, one had to wait for months. Previously, completing subsequent property-related formalities used to be a hassle.

However, this time, the experience was entirely different. Thanks to the Registration Department’s ‘auto-mutation’ facility, the mutation of the property was processed immediately after the registration. Consequently, there was no need to wait for months or make repeated rounds of government offices to get the mutation done.

Expressing satisfaction with this change, Mr. Sandiya noted that completing the mutation process alongside the registration brought him great relief. He remarked that such facilities save time for ordinary citizens and boost confidence in government operations.

  • Auto-mutation simplifies post-registration procedures

Under the auto-mutation system implemented by the Registration Department, the mutation process proceeds automatically once the property is registered. This fosters better coordination between the processes of the Registration Department and the Revenue Department.

Previously, after registering their land, citizens had to submit separate applications and complete formalities at revenue offices to get the mutation done. The new system helps reduce unnecessary administrative procedures and accelerates the mutation process.

This reform is particularly significant for farmers and landowners in rural areas, who previously had to make frequent visits to Tehsil and revenue offices for property-related matters. Auto-mutation not only saves their time but also makes completing land-related tasks much more convenient.

  • Gratitude expressed to the Chief Minister and the Minister of Finance & Registration

Expressing happiness over the immediate mutation following registration, Mr. Mangal Singh Sandiya conveyed his gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai and the Minister of Finance and Registration, Mr. O.P. Chaudhary. He stated that the expedited mutation process has provided him with great convenience.

Mr. Sandiya’s experience demonstrates that the benefits of the technical reforms being implemented by the government in registration services are directly reaching the common citizen. For them, ‘automutation’ is not merely a digital system; it represents relief from months of waiting and the satisfaction of having government work completed on time.

  • Stories of good governance emerging from the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’

Through the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Commitment Campaign), the Registration Department is engaging directly with beneficiaries to gather feedback on the ground-level impact of registration reforms, as well as to collect their experiences and suggestions.

The story of Mangal Singh Sandia from Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi exemplifies this transformation. While previously one had to wait months for property mutation, the new technology-driven system now enables the completion of the relevant process simultaneously with the registration itself. This initiative is proving significant in saving citizens’ time, simplifying administrative procedures, and enhancing the effectiveness of public services.
