- Through rallies, public dialogues, street plays, awareness chariots, marathons, oaths, sports and creative activities, the youth and common people were made aware of the ill effects of drugs.
The special public awareness campaign “ Nashe Se Dassari Hai Najri 2.0” being conducted across the state from 15th July to 30th July 2026 as directed by the Police Headquarters with the aim of creating a drug-free and healthy society by the Madhya Pradesh Police received wide public support on the fifth day as well.
On the fifth day of the campaign, more than 9 lakh citizens were made aware of the ill effects of drugs by organizing more than 1300 awareness programs in various districts and police units of the state . During this time, the youth , students , women , villagers , drivers , workers , sportsmen and common citizens were inspired to adopt a drug-free life, not limited to giving awareness messages .
- Collective resolution with public awareness
Under the campaign, public awareness rallies , vehicle rallies , marathons , public dialogues , village chowpals , street plays , awareness chariots , poster and pamphlet distribution , oath-taking programs , sports competitions , painting and quiz competitions and awareness activities through social media were conducted across the region.
Police officers and employees visited educational institutions , hostels , haat-bazaars , bus stands , railway stations , industrial areas , slums , village halls and public places and informed the citizens about the health , social , family and economic consequences of drug addiction. At many places citizens and students were also given a collective oath to stay away from drugs.
- Hon’ble Chief Minister made conch call for drug free Madhya Pradesh
On the fifth day of the campaign, the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Mohan Yadav ji and the ministers gave their full support to this campaign during the cabinet meeting held at historic Jagdishpur (Chaman Mahal) in Bhopal countryside. The Chief Minister and the Cabinet Ministers have resolved to create a drug-free Madhya Pradesh under the campaign “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0”. On this occasion, everyone took part in the signing campaign and signed and gave a strong and positive motivation to the entire region to stay away from drugs. This step of the government gave a new energy to the campaign.
- District wise major organization
In Alirajpur district more than 27 programs spread awareness in tribal senior child hostels and rural haat bazaars like Chakatla. Villagers were sensitized by playing Nashamukti song in ‘ Nimadi Boli ‘ in villages through special awareness chariot .
Awareness programs were organized at 28 places in Khandwa district . In collaboration with the police and social justice department, bike rally , street plays , awareness programs were conducted at hostels , schools , bus stands , markets and public places. Through these activities more than 1 lakh 20 thousand citizens were made aware of the side effects of drugs.
As part of the campaign in Gwalior, posters with anti-drug messages were put on autos and e-rickshaws. Nukkad dramas were organized at public places to inform the motorists and common people about the ill effects of drugs and to take an oath to stay away from drugs.
In Balaghat district posters with anti-drug message were placed on government vehicles. Rally , band performance and oath taking program were organized. After reaching the slums and designated places, the drug addicts and their families were given an oath to stay away from drugs and informed about drug addiction counseling centers.
In Mandla district, anti-drug awareness programs were organized among tribal areas and common people by placing posters on public transport vehicles. At bus stands and other public places, citizens were informed about the ill effects of drugs and the message of creating a drug free society was given.
Awareness activities were organized at 21 locations in Khargone . De-addiction marathons in Maheshwar , street plays in haat-bazaars , pasting of posters and pamphlets on vehicles and information about de-addiction rehabilitation centers were given to drug addicts and their families. More than 17,850 people were sensitized in the district .
A meeting was held with social media influencers and content creators in Ujjain to disseminate the message of the campaign widely through digital media. Along with this , posters , mass dialogues , street meetings and oath programs were organized at bus stands , public transport , markets , rural areas and major public places . More than 1,150 people were directly sensitized through 15 major awareness activities.
- Participation of youth in constructive activities in the campaign
On the fifth day of the campaign, painting , sports competition , quiz , marathon and creative programs were organized to engage the youth and students . Trainees , police families and employees in police training institutes and channel premises were also involved in the campaign. At the same time, in many districts, the police along with the action against drug addiction also conveyed information about drug addiction counseling and rehabilitation centers to the citizens.
The objective of Madhya Pradesh Police is that every section of the society understands the ill effects of drugs , family and society play an active role to keep the youth away from drugs and every citizen participates in creating a drug free and healthy Madhya Pradesh.
