Paris waiters race

Waiters briskly move through Paris, bringing back a traditional race that is over a hundred years old.

French restaurants are often thought to have slow service, but this weekend, Parisian waiters proved the opposite by racing through the streets with full trays.

More than 200 servers competed in the “Course des Cafés,” a revived century-old race, with thousands of spectators watching.

The race took place in a 1.2-mile loop starting and ending at City Hall, with waiters and waitresses dressed in traditional attire and carrying trays loaded with a croissant, water glass, and coffee cup.
