Priyanka is building her future through computer coaching

  • The dream came true with the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme

In today’s digital age, shaping one’s future through computer coaching is a highly practical decision. It opens doors to high-paying jobs in fields like artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and software development.
Priyanka Mandal, a young woman from Pandripani in the Jagdalpur development block of Bastar district, has not only set an example of self-reliance through her confidence and determination, but has also become a source of inspiration for other youth in the area. Taking advantage of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEP) scheme, she established her own computer coaching center. Priyanka Mandal’s family consists of five members, including her parents, brother, and sister-in-law. Priyanka holds a postgraduate degree. Priyanka explains that after completing her studies, she worked as a contract computer operator to earn a living. She had a keen interest in the field of computers from an early age and aspired to do something different.
Priyanka noticed that many children in rural areas of Bastar wanted to learn computers, but the difficulty and high cost of commuting to distant cities prevented them from pursuing computer education. Faced with this problem, Priyanka decided to open a computer coaching center to provide quality computer education to rural children at a low cost, but her financial situation hindered her desire.
Through a friend, Priyanka learned about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEP). She contacted the District Trade and Industry Center, obtained detailed information about the scheme, submitted the necessary documents, and applied for a loan. Her computer coaching center’s case was forwarded to the State Bank of India, Pandripani branch. The bank granted her a loan of ₹7 lakh on June 20, 2025.
Priyanka explained that her computer coaching center has been operating for almost nine months. During this time, her center has successfully trained 20 students. She has also provided employment to three young people through her organization. Priyanka is regularly paying her loan installments. Priyanka Mandal’s initiative not only exemplifies self-reliance but also marks a commendable step toward connecting rural youth in Bastar with technical education. Her success proves that young people can achieve their dreams with the right guidance and support.
Priyanka explained that graduates need to develop strong software skills, enhance their knowledge through online courses, stay abreast of the latest trends, and participate in workshops and seminars to remain relevant in their field, which is crucial for their professional development.
