 Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that providing quality education, better skill training and employment opportunities to the youth of the state as per their qualifications is the priority of the state government. Our effort is that the sons and daughters of Chhattisgarh should get better opportunities for education and employment in their own state, they should become self-reliant on the strength of their skills and talent and become active partners in building a developed Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the youth on the occasion of the closing of the two-day State Level Employment Fair-2026 organized at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, he presented offer letters to the selected youth and wished them a bright future. The Chief Minister presented offer letters to approximately 1,100 selected youth.More than 13,000 youth from across the state participated in the two-day employment fair held on October 7th and 8th. Following selection processes conducted by various companies, more than 5,000 candidates were finally selected. A large number of youth from all districts of the state, as well as remote and tribal areas, attended the fair and participated in the selection process for employment according to their educational qualifications and skills.Congratulating the selected youth, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this employment opportunity marks a new beginning in their lives. He expressed confidence that through their hard work, dedication, and talent, the youth will bring glory to their families, the state, and the country.*Government is connecting the dreams of youth with opportunities*Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the state government is working in a planned manner to connect youth with employment. In the last two and a half years, 925 job fairs have been organized across the state, providing employment to more than 25,845 youth. The success of the state-level job fair will further accelerate efforts in this direction.He said that in today’s times, practical skills and training tailored to industry needs are essential alongside education. With this vision, the state government is continuously working to connect youth with education and skills, and from skills to employment.Chief Minister Shri Sai said that facilities for higher and technical education are being continuously expanded in Chhattisgarh. The state is home to prestigious national-level institutions such as IIT, IIM, Triple IT, AIIMS, and Law University. Talented students are also being provided opportunities to prepare for competitive examinations through institutions like Prayas.He said that the government is striving to ensure that the state’s youth have access to quality education, modern skills, and maximum opportunities for a better future within Chhattisgarh. To this end, educational and technical institutions are being prepared to meet the changing needs of industry.*More than 95 employer institutions provided employment opportunities to the youth*More than 95 registered employer organizations, along with other companies, participated in the state-level job fair. Nearly 50 stalls were set up at the venue, where companies from various industrial and service sectors conducted document verification, interview, and selection of candidates.The fair provided employment opportunities for youth with various educational and professional qualifications, including ITI, diploma, engineering, and graduate degrees. Along with the Employment Department, Industrial Training Institutes, the Technical Education Department, Polytechnic and Engineering Colleges, and the Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority also actively participated in the event.Youth trained under skill development programs also participated in large numbers at the job fair. This made the job fair not only a means of recruitment but also an effective platform for direct communication and coordination between youth, industry, and educational institutions.*E-employment portal to become ‘skill market’*The job fair processes for candidate registration, application, attendance, and selection were conducted online through the e-employment portal. This helped make the selection process more simple, systematic, and transparent.The state government plans to further develop the e-employment portal into a “skill market.” This integrated digital platform will provide information on industry requirements and available positions, along with information on the educational qualifications and skills of youth seeking employment. This will facilitate youth in finding opportunities that match their qualifications, while also providing industries with access to skilled human resources as per their needs.*Those who did not get the opportunity today, the doors of employment will open for them in future also*Chief Minister Shri Sai also encouraged the youth attending the employment fair who were unable to find employment this time. He said they need not be disappointed. The state government will continue to create new opportunities for youth through employment fairs, skill development programs, and collaboration with industries.The Chief Minister congratulated Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb, departmental officers and employees, educational institutions and representatives of industrial establishments and companies from the state and other states for the successful organization of the employment fair.Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is continuously striving to provide better employment opportunities to the youth. The government’s objective is not only to provide training to the youth, but also to connect their skills with real employment and livelihood opportunities.He said that the widespread participation of youth from across the state in the employment fair reflects their enthusiasm and aspirations for a better future. Youth are being trained to meet current industry needs and empower them for employment.*Release of evaluation report for quality improvement of polytechnic institutes*In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the third party evaluation report prepared by the Quality Council of India was also released in the program with the aim of improving the quality of education and training in the polytechnic colleges of the state.The report assesses the academic standards, training systems, available infrastructure, and potential for quality improvement at polytechnic institutions. Based on the report’s recommendations, an action plan has been developed to improve the institutions’ overall development and the quality of training. This will help align technical education with changing industry needs and enhance students’ employability.Chief Minister Shri Sai, while referring to the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on this occasion, said that various public welfare programs are being organized across the state to commemorate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. The employment fair is also furthering this spirit of service and public welfare by directly connecting youth with opportunities.The Chief Minister said that before coming to the employment fair, he attended the “Seva Setu” program held in Durg, where beneficiaries of various schemes were benefited along with the release of the 32nd installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. He said that the state government is moving forward towards building a developed Chhattisgarh by empowering every section of society, including women, youth, farmers, workers and the poor.On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Chairperson of Child Rights Protection Commission Smt. Varnika Sharma, Chairperson of Minority Commission Shri Amarjeet Chhabra, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, MLA Shri Rohit Sahu along with public representatives, representatives of various industrial establishments, departmental officers-employees and a large number of youth were present.
